The Honeymooners

In the 1950's, Chauncey Street was home to Jackie Gleason's show, The Honeymooners, which was filmed in two blocks away, near the comedian's childhood home between Howard and Saratoga. The show reached the number two show in the United States in 1954, next to the Perry Como Show. Main characters Ralph and Alice Cramden were the inspiration for cartoon legends Fred and Wilma Flintsone, and the Honeymooners also featured the Academy Award-winning actor Art Carney.  Here's an episode from the 1950's.
